Why should we choose WEB DESIGN?
A good question. Our strengths, put simply, are that we really do know what we’re doing. Professional web design is not easy any more. Yes, anyone can open up Photoshop, learn some basic HTML, and say they’re a web designer. Even a large established ‘design’ agency can employ a good ‘sales team’ to convince you they know what they’re doing. The truth though, is there really aren’t that many people who properly understand the complexities of producing a good website.
How long will it take you to design and develop a website for us?
Hopefully the questions answered above go some way to answering this? Again, how long a website takes to develop will depend on your individual requirements. When we know your requirements we will set-out a development plan that will include phase-based deadlines and an overall completion date.
What technologies do you use?
Web technologies are often divided in to two distinct groups: ‘front-end’ and ‘back-end’. The front-end technologies used to develop websites are nonproprietary and generally the same for everyone – HTML, CSS, JS, etc. It’s how these are used that makes the difference. Back-end technologies however, vary and can have consequences for your website. As strong advocates of Web Standards and Open Source licencing , we gravitate towards non proprietary back-end technologies: those not owed/licenced by, or reliant upon, any single company or commercial organisation. These include JavaScript (JQuery), PHP, MySQL, Apache Server, etc, and the Open Source Content Management Systems (CMS) using these technologies.
Do you use Open Source software & technologies?
Yes absolutely. Where possible, when available and practical, we’ll always select software and technologies with Open Source licencing, over any other. We don’t necessarily do this because Open Source software is often free to use, but because the collaborative development model makes for better, more responsive, modern and robust web based applications.
Do you provide website hosting?

Do I have to register the domain name?
A web agency can register your domain name, but make sure it is in your name. It’s easy to do yourself – and remember, your web address is your asset.
What support can I expect once the website is built?
Ongoing maintenance and support needs to be agreed with your web agency. If you want to update the site yourself, you may need training.
To control costs, make sure the agency builds a site you can update yourself, otherwise you may have to pay when you want to change something.
What are you agency's terms and conditions?
This is quite important and helps avoid problems further down the line. We try to provide a fair and reasonable service which includes:

- 6 month warranty meaning that your site will work as specified for 6 months, otherwise we fix any bugs for free.
